Our Mission Plan
For The Public School System

(U.T.I.) is a corporation united with like-minded people who are disturbed by this nation’s crises of student mental depression, physical and emotional cyberbullying, and school gun violence.

We of (U.T.I.) will no longer procrastinate, stay silent, or be inactive. Our state and local schoolteachers and counselors need help navigating student mental health problems. (U.T.I.) researched the issues surrounding students’ emotional and social interaction skills. Based on research, (U.T.I.) developed a core curriculum inclusive of advanced segments of anger management, stress management techniques, and forward-thinking pre-adult preparedness.

(U.T.I.)’s mental health maintenance program has a high impact success rate with previous clients. This program utilizes passionate, gifted speakers to communicate effectively with all our students.

In the classroom setting, we first want to identify students who adequately manage themselves and have sound support systems in and after school. Then, we focus on the students who do not. Our curriculum is designed to assist teachers and counselors in identifying issues of frustration that may hinder a student’s learning process.

Some students are unaware of what’s hindering their learning, like dyslexia. (U.T.I.)’s mission is to bring awareness to those with learning difficulties. We want to connect students with community resources, tutoring, and youth activity organizations like Big Brothers / Big Sisters of America.

Our Mission Plan
For The Juvenile Detention Centers

It would take a small book to thoroughly explain the mostly negative consequences young people experience in incarceration within a juvenile detention center. (U.T.I.) understands the need for criminal justice. Not everyone’s mental state of mind wants or is capable of adequate rehabilitation. Therefore, detention is essential. Only 15 to 20 percent of youth incarcerated population fall into the categories of chronic mental illness or forever hopeless career offenders.

Most male or female juveniles ordered into a detention facility can be and should be given customized rehabilitation opportunities. Specific home and environmental conditions can propel a youth life in the direction of incarceration.

When a young person quits school, gets expelled, and their frustrations turn into various levels of manic depression, those youth will most likely experience bouts of incarceration. (U.T.I.) examined years of information concerning juvenile delinquency and detention. We as a collective community fail to understand the mental damage – (trauma) – we inflict on our young when they experience incarceration.

We are not paying enough attention to decades of escalating mental health illness problems created by our penal system. We understand the need for those who deserve punishment. Still, punishment usually has a high degree of mental trauma. Too often, we punish without properly providing a treatment plan specifically for the punished person.

A non-violent offender who enters the juvenile detention system can be affected by the length of their incarceration and the depth of mental trauma experienced. Therapy meant to mend trauma is necessary before being released back into society. Without treatment to mend trauma, the individual ends up angry and prone to rebellious violence.

(U.T.I.) has developed a 6-to-8 week custom-designed program. It’s purpose is to assist in providing mental health assistance therapy for the Youth and pre adults incarcerated within our juvenile detention centers. We intend to strengthen their well-being through mentoring. utilizing community resources, and education.
